Welcome to the Gateway Section of the
Mercedes-Benz Club of America

MBCA was only 16-years old when the Gateway Section was initially incorporated on January 3, 1972.
As the MBCA now moves into it's second half-century, the Gateway Section continues to grow, due to an enthusiastic membership currently totaling nearly 250 members. Most members are within a 200-mile radius of St. Louis.
The Gateway Section has it all – Wonderful, friendly and fun-loving members, beautiful automobiles, exciting and enjoyable events and activities, and support of charitable functions.
We make a concerted effort to have an Activity/Event every month of the year. In the past couple years alone, the Gateway Section had a wonderful Charity Auction for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, once again hosted our ever-popular Holiday Party at Greenbriar Country Club, viewed the beautiful array of automobiles at Hyman Ltd’s Classic Cars, enjoyed dinner together on the exquisite Lt. Robert E. Lee Riverboat, celebrated the Grand Opening Presentation of the incredible Kemp Auto Museum, which included a special New Member Party, caravanned on a Road Trip together to the unique community of New Harmony, Indiana, participated in MBCA”S national event, StarTech ’05, in Cary, North Carolina, discovered what it takes to transform a “nice car” into a true concours winner at our Detailing Clinic Extravaganza, held two “Ladies Day Out” trips, to Old St. Charles and the Patio Place Tea Room, once again had major involvement in the St. Louis European Auto Show (this year raising and donating over $18,000 for the Shriners Children’s Hospital), participated in a road trip to Montelle Winery & dinner at Elijah McLean’s Restaurant in Washington, Missouri, had another fun & exciting Road Rally, this time to the Chaumette Winery, and recently held our Annual Fall Picnic, along with its associated Show ‘n Shine Car Show. 2006 also offered our club special behind-the-scene tours of all three local authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership facilities, as well as the honor of hosting a significant stop on the MBCA's 50th Anniversary Historic Route 66 Tour at St. Louis's very own and special Kemp Auto Museum.
